I started a job

In my last post, I was an emotional mess. Lets be honest, I am always an emotional mess, so nothing will ever change. However, today is an okay day.

There is a bit of news I have been meaning to share for a while but never got around to it because I post when I feel like and it never felt like the right time or I forgot. Now, if you keep up with my monthly recaps, then you would know whats going on.

And like the title says, I started a job and its been a few weeks already. 5 weeks and 3 days to be exact.

It was something I applied to for the sake of applying, never knew that role existed and or heard about the company before. Now I love what I do, where I work at and the people I work with. Looking back, its one of those moments where everything happens for a reason and everything ended up being in my favor.

In terms of what I actually do it is project costing, as a project cost assistant for a global systems integrator. The best way to describe it is cost accounting – budgets, invoices, purchase orders, notes.

I think the story about how I got the job and my first week is an interesting one, so I am going to leave that for another day.

But I will share my work from home set-up because its very fancy and admit that adjusting to working a full-time job has been something because I am NOT a morning person. Now that my day starts at 8am, can no longer go to bed at 4/5am.
