When I woke up today, I realized that I had no cell phone service. I restarted my phone hoping that would solve the problem. It didn’t. Turns out that Rogers and Fido customers do not have any phone service. No calls, no texts, no data.

I am grateful to have wifi that works, but it sucks not having service. What if I had to make a call? What if I had to go somewhere and needed directions or needed to take an Uber?
Its interesting to think how reliant we are on cell phone service. Maybe its a good thing we are stuck at home.
Its disappointing how a large company such as Rogers, doesn’t have their shit together. And they are keeping their customers in the dark about whats going on, trying to “restore services as soon as possible”. We have been without service since this morning.
My grandmother and I speak to each other every night. Now without service, I am not able to call her and had to tell my uncle to let her know that I can’t call her. She worries about me if I can’t call her.
At least I have wifi.

My parents are with Rogers and they are often without cell phone service. It seems like other ppl don’t have service either (I’ve seen similar blog posts today regarding this issue) so I’m guessing that they are with Rogers/Fido too.
