Lately, most of my recommended videos on Youtube have been journal related. I started watching a few, and now thats all I see. And while watching one recently, a thought came to my mind – I want to learn how to paint. Over the past few months, I have enjoyed drawing and journaling with markers. And now I feel like I should step it up with paint. But here’s the thing, I have never really painted and I don’t know where to start. And one thing I want to do this year, is avoid buying things whenever I want to try a something new because usually I don’t end up using it.
There are different types of paint and brushes. What about the paper used to paint on? Where do I have the space to store all these things? I need to think about all these things than rushing to buy materials that I may not up using. Also, I’m trying to avoid the corporate giant of amazon but I don’t want to leave my house. The struggles.
I guess its something to looking into. So if anyone has tips, help a girl out.

Have you looked into watercolor pencils? It’s cheaper and it’s like painting, and it will give you a sense of whether you want to pursue painting. I personally enjoy using watercolor pencils even though I don’t currently own any. Less waste, less mess, and cost effective too.
