Weekly Recap: Books and Coffee

I feel strangely calm right now even though this week started out rough.

Honestly I think its just because my essay which was due tonight is extended till Monday. So I am just doing like every student does, look for every single way to procrastinate and then hate my life on Monday when its due.

The past 2 days have been strange for me, just because I have had nothing to do. And thats the thing, I’m not sure if its just me, but adjusting from being super busy to doing absolutely nothing, its just so weird. There’s only so much tv I can watch before my brain is fried or games I could play till I am bored. I started reading a book last night and I am almost done with it. Though I am not going to blame being bored on that. The book is just good. First time that I have read Christina Lauren, but I am impressed.

My midterms went okay. The one on Monday which was game theory was a bit more challenging just because I got confused by one of the concepts. So wish me luck that it went well. Industrial organization, which I had on Wednesday, I did not study for it as much as I wanted to. Thank god it was an open book exam, but I am not sure if I wrote the right thing. So it can go either way.

And about that assignment, well it wasn’t submitted. My group learned that one person can’t do a certain question on their own. And that was the question I was stuck with. When I was working on it, I really tried to get the others to help me but no one did, and I had to focus on my exam. So I asked them to finish it and they couldn’t even with an extension. Honestly its fine with me that they didn’t submit it, just because its optional and we only have to do 2 out of 3. Hopefully they can get their shit together for the next one.

There is much other than school this week. I got my period which has not been fun and my acne has been terrible. And I spent a lot of money at Starbucks. Never a fun experience. But I think I found a new drink I like.

Ever since I tried the iced Blonde Coconut Mocha Macchiato [I might have said that wrong and I know its a long name] I loved it and have been trying to get it forever. I don’t know if its because it was limited or just sold at the specific location that I bought it, but no luck. And the other day, I tried to customize one hoping it would taste like it, and I think I found my new drink. I’m so used to always getting a lactose free mocha every single time, that I am happy to now have another option till I get tired of it. Basically I get :

  • a venti blonde caramel macchiato
  • coconut milk
  • no syrup
  • 3 pumps of white mocha
  • mocha drizzle
  • caramel drizzle

Its not too sweet or bitter. It is a bit pricey, but its still the same price as a mocha for me since I get it with lactose free milk, so the price doesn’t bother me much.

So that was my rant for the week. Hopefully you enjoy it and I am going back to my book which I have been loving lately.
